Joe Takai

Joe has lived in the Southern California area since 1978 and has been dedicated to community service in Los Angeles. Joe has lead many community development programs and was drawn to Imagine LA to help make an impact on the widespread homelessness working with the team as a mentor as well as a member of the Board.

As a long-time Southern California local, Joe has been a dedicated business leader working with Fortune 100 companies. As a Partner at McKinsey & Co, Joe leads a global team building businesses and architecting growth.

Prior to joining McKinsey & Co, Joe served as Partner and Managing Director of the Digital Ventures global center, the startup incubator for the Boston Consulting Group  located in Manhattan Beach.

Joe also has a long history with the feature film industry, having served as a Director at Lucasfilm, Industrial Light + Magic, Warner Bros, Digital Domain and several other academy award feature film visual effects studios.
