Director of Youth Services
Cherelle Solomon joined the Imagine LA staff in April 2016, and is responsible for executing the Transitional Age Youth Families Thriving Pilot and managing former foster youth families and mentor teams as they progress through the Imagine LA program.
Originally from the East Coast, Cherelle has always had a passion for working with disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. Cherelle has a strong background in providing crisis intervention for low-income adults, however her true passion lies in providing educational case management to at-risk youth, ages 10-16. In her five years of working in the social services arena, Cherelle has gained experience working as a treatment case worker with the Department of Children and Families, school social worker, and as a foster youth liaison for Pomona Unified School District.
In 2011, Cherelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western Connecticut State University. Three years later, Cherelle received her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Community Organizing, Planning & Administration. In her free time, Cherelle devotes her time to music performance, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
