2022 Volunteer Outcomes

In 2022, Imagine LA welcomed 146 pro bono and event volunteers, committee members, and mentors into our work. These passionate individuals contributed over 1500 hours (about 2 months) to our mission. Independent Sector, a nonprofit organization that conducts research on the value of volunteer time in the United States estimates the national average worth of a volunteer hour in California is $29.95 per hour. This means an equivalent of nearly $42,000 in paid labor was donated to Imagine LA. 

But a volunteer’s true worth is in the difference they make for their community. Thanks to them our events were safe and joyful, our families created life-changing relationships, and our committees helped us advance our strategic goals. 

The value of volunteers cannot be overstated. Whether it is through the positive impact they have on individuals, organizations, or communities, volunteers play a critical role in creating a better world for us all. By giving their time and energy to help others, volunteers demonstrate the power of kindness, compassion, and generosity, inspiring others to do the same.
