City National Bank - September 2022 Partner of the Month

Imagine LA counts City National Bank as one of our longest and strongest partners.

Founded as a small office in Beverly Hills in 1954, City National is a leader in the banking sector and in their community impact. Los Angeles Business Journal recently named the bank among LA’s top corporate philanthropists.

The bank’s commitment to ending family poverty and homelessness has included more than $100,000 in financial and in-kind contributions to Imagine LA since 2015, hundreds of hours of mentor and event volunteer service, and powerful champions serving on our board and committees.

Lindsay Dunn, Executive Vice President of Real Estate Banking at City National, serves on our Board of Directors and as our intrepid Board Treasurer. Lindsay is an invaluable resource to Imagine LA, guiding us to increase our financial durability and sustainability, and leading our annual audit process.

“Solving family poverty and homelessness is within our reach,” says Lindsay. “It means providing support beyond just shelter, which is what Imagine LA does best. I love this team, our families, and the board community. We’re truly doing it together.”

Yvette Gonzalez, Vice President of Community & Employee Engagement, became an Imagine LA Community Champion last year and supports our external engagement and fundraising efforts and facilitates impactful City National colleague volunteerism. Her knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility, the Community Reinvestment Act, and opportunities to build strategic partnerships has equipped us to strengthen our work and our relationships.

Both Jennifer Nickerson, Senior Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, and Debora Vrana, Senior Vice President, Media Relations, have also been powerful allies in raising awareness about Imagine LA, both internally at City National and externally to the broader Los Angeles community.

Through their Community Reinvestment Act efforts, City National Bank has funded impactful programming and fueled our mutual goals of helping people and communities become more successful.“ City National has proven that when you invest time and resources into relationships, lives and partnerships are enriched.

Thank you, City National Bank, for your dedication to ending the cycle of family poverty and homelessness!
