Cameille Shenkin, MHS

Assistant Program Director

Cameille joined Imagine LA in 2022 as a Senior Program Manager with Imagine LA, driven by the belief that safe, affordable housing is a human right. In her new role as Assistant Program Director, Cameille creates policies, procedures, provides support to the Family Team Managers (case manager staff), and fosters the partnership with Missouri Place. She is a passionate equity-minded advocate, with more than 15 years’ experience improving the quality of life in vulnerable communities. Her experiences in the fields of homeless services, maternal & infant health, mental health, and addiction treatment services inform her holistic approach to providing services.

Prior to joining Imagine LA, Cameille worked as a Housing Navigation Manager, leading a team finding permanent housing for vulnerable, at-risk Angelenos. Her work in homeless services has been fueled by finding solutions centered on equity, justice and dedicated to amplifying the voices of lived experience that too often go unheard. In 2022, Cameille was identified by Social Justice Venture Partners (SJVP) as "one of the 19 Leaders Poised to Change LA’s Homeless Services Sector.”

Cameille is a lifelong practitioner of doing good work and doing it joyfully. She enjoys spending time with family, travel, the arts, and is an avid reader — her most recent read is Take My Hand, by Dolen Perkins-Valdez!
