Isabel Buster

Program Coordinator

Isabel serves as Program Coordinator with Imagine LA. In her role, Isabel works closely with the Program Director to support the Program Team and outcomes through process and data management, weekly resource newsletters to our families, family referral intake and coordination, alumni family engagement, and more.

Isabel joined Imagine LA in August 2021, driven by a passion to help the homeless community in any way possible. She grew up in a culture of giving back and has more than a decade of experience volunteering with nonprofit organizations such as City Impact in San Francisco, Mary’s Kitchen, and Youth Centers of Orange.

Isabel’s community leadership includes leading an outreach team to understand the needs of low-income communities and provide resources, referrals, and direct care and support, such as haircuts. The event gathered hundreds of volunteers, and reinforced Isabel’s belief that even the smallest acts can create great individual impact.

Isabel earned a BA in Sociology with placement on the Dean’s List at Loyola Marymount University. She plans to further her education by pursuing her Masters in Social Work. Throughout her past and future academic studies, Isabel strives to apply her knowledge to the real world. Imagine LA is a great opportunity for Isabel to continue to help the vulnerable communities surrounding us.
