As CEO of Imagine LA, TuLynn oversees all agency operations, staffing, programming, and mobilizing community support toward the agency’s mission of ending the cycle of family poverty and homelessness.

Prior to joining Imagine LA, TuLynn served as Chief Program Officer for The People Concern, where she supervised eight of the agency’s major programs including interim housing, K-9 Connections, Health and Wellness, Money Management services, and the agency’s domestic violence programs. She served on The People Concern’s executive management team, providing strategic leadership to the organization. She liaised with the community, funders, and stakeholders to expand housing opportunities for unhoused people throughout Los Angeles County and to decrease the number of people living on the streets.

Prior to The People Concern, TuLynn served as Administrative Director for the Center for the Pacific Asian Family, an organization dedicated to working primarily with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Her duties included contracts review and compliance, human resources and administration, operations management, serving as community liaison, and more.

From 2005 to 2012, TuLynn served as executive director for WomenShelter of Long Beach, one of California’s oldest domestic violence shelter organizations. She was responsible for all operations including development, program planning, personnel, and financial management.  As Executive Director, she expanded the organization’s services to female victims, while increasing outreach to traditionally underserved victims, including men, lesbians and gay men, and the Latino and Asian communities. TuLynn was elected and served from 2006 to 2012 as Vice Chair of the LA County Domestic Violence Council. TuLynn also served on the Board of the statewide domestic violence network from 2010 to 2012.

TuLynn has gained a broad range of experience working with at-risk and vulnerable populations in a variety of nonprofit endeavors in New York, Denver, and California. TuLynn holds a law degree from UCLA School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University in New York.
