Hispanic Heritage Month 2022
On September 15, 1821, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua declared their independence from Spain. This inspired US government officials to start Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month on this date, instead of the first. It’s this respect and recognition of history and our South American neighbors that Imagine LA brings to honor the Hispanic and Latinx people in LA.
