A Night with Emerging Leaders

Imagine LA's Emerging Leaders Advisory Board (ELAB) is a passionate group of young professionals dedicated to making a difference for families in Los Angeles emerging from poverty and homelessness. 

They’re already transforming lives through their day-to-day work (as entrepreneurs, event producers, programmers, influencers, and more). And, like our current Board of Directors, they have a strong desire to give back to the Angeleno community. 

This new board is ready to reach out to their communities to find new ways to take grassroots actions to fundraise and make the connections our organization needs to transform lives. 

Last month, we gathered at a private residence in Venice, hosted by Resthaven Properties, to celebrate the launch of this new advisory board. The program of the evening consisted of a conversation highlighting our history and work led by our CEO TuLynn Smylie and our Program Director Andrea LeBeouf. Residents of Missouri Place – Imagine LA's permanent affordable housing – and alumni of the Imagine LA program spoke of their lived experiences to the nearly 100 event attendees. 

Thanks to food provided by Chica’s Tacos and music from DJ Amicaz Music, a great time was had by all in attendance. We are so proud to see such an engaged group of driven changemakers come together to support our mission, and excited that this incredible event was first of many to come!
