February Partners of the Month: Figs & Singer Burke

Thanks to our partners, their individual employees, and their donation match programs, Imagine LA received almost $15,000 in donations for families in need this past holiday season. 

How did it happen? Teamwork. 

During the holidays, accounting firm Singer Burke was so inspired by the individual contributions of their managing partner, Mathew Burke, that their employees rallied together with friends and family to launch their own fundraisers. 

Because of Singer Burke's dedication to providing services that have a positive impact on professional and public communities, their team members were further empowered by the company’s offer to match funds. 

As a result of their collective effort, the team successfully raised $1,700. Singer Burke then matched those funds, adding $6,000 -- donating a total of nearly $10,000! 

At the same time, leading healthcare apparel retailer FIGS had the same goal - to mobilize their team to spread joy during the holidays. The FIGS Culture committee centered Imagine LA as the charitable partner for a Creating Thanksgiving Joy campaign with the goal of providing each Imagine LA family with a gift card to purchase everything they need for Thanksgiving.

FIGS employees raised $2,560, and the company matched $2,000. Together they raised a total of $4,560!  

These are just two examples of how a significant difference can be made when a community comes together. We are so thankful to Singer Burke & FIGS for coming together to make a big difference for families emerging from poverty!
